Galicia will be present at the International Exhibition which will take place in Zaragoza from June 14th, 2008 for three months through an innovative exhibition pavilion of more than 300 square meter, an area that, based on our undeniable and good tradition, it will be essentially new, interactive and current.
The Pavilion
The Minitry of Innovation and Industry of the Gallician Regional Government, through the Genereal Directorate of Tourism, is also planning an extensive and varied program of entertainment and social activities. Along with this, gastronomy and local wines, and also mineral waters, will have their own space in the restaurant of 80 square meters situated next to the gallician hall providing the best of our cuisine to the visitors.
On the other hand, Galicia actively will participate in the scientific forum under the name “Tribuna del Agua”. Several recent research projects under way in Galicia certify the development of our country in these areas: innovative plans to recover river channels, harnessing the energy of ocean currents, exploitation of water powers, etc..
One hundred countries and five million visitors
The International Exhibition of Zaragoza will gather nearly 100 countries of five continents and will be based around a theme: water and sustainable development. More than five million visitors are expected.
